Frequently Asked Questions
Are pets allowed?
Yes, pets are allowed at certain homes only. Each property's pet policy is clearly listed on its individual listing page on our website. For pet-friendly homes, please review the following pet rules:
- No cats or other animals are allowed.
- Up to two (2) dogs may be permitted upon advance written notification to Casago Arizona at the time of reservation. If approved, the Guest must sign a Pet Addendum and pay an additional non-refundable pet fee.
- No puppies or dogs under one year of age are allowed without prior approval.
- Per Casago Arizona's insurance, certain breeds are not permitted, including but not limited to Dalmatians, Boxers, Presa Canarios, Chow Chows, Doberman Pinschers, Malamutes, Huskies, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Pit Bull mixes, and any dog determined by prior behavior to be a "dangerous dog."
- An unauthorized pet will result in termination of the stay.
- Pets must be fit to travel and have current vaccinations.
- The Guest is responsible for all damage and odors related to pets. The pet fee covers reasonable cleaning following a pet's occupancy. Any additional cleaning, damage, or odor removal will be billed to the credit card on file.
- If excessive barking or noise results in neighborhood complaints or law-enforcement response, the Guest will be required to kennel the dog for the remainder of the stay.
- If the pet does not match the size, age, breed, or description provided at booking, lodging will not continue and the pet fee and total lodging amount will be forfeited.
For questions, please contact your reservations agent at the time of booking.
Can I add extra days to my reservation?

Each Arizona city has its own short-term rental rules, including noise ordinances and occupancy regulations. Cities including Scottsdale, Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, and Tucson actively enforce these ordinances. The full list of applicable rules for your property is displayed in the home and provided in your house manual. If you have questions, please contact our reservations team for availability and rates — Northern Arizona: (928) 202-3209, Central Arizona: (480) 637-0347, or Southern Arizona: (520) 505-9833.

In our desert markets (Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson), homes feature central air conditioning — essential for Arizona summers. In our high-country markets (Flagstaff, Pinetop, and Show Low), homes are equipped with central or zoned heating systems suited to mountain winters, with cooling appropriate to the cooler summer climate. Some homes also feature mini-split systems in specific rooms.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts and specials throughout the year, listed on our Promotions and Last Minute Deals pages. Please contact reservations at Northern Arizona: (928) 202-3209, Central Arizona: (480) 637-0347, or Southern Arizona: (520) 505-9833 to learn more. Yes. One of the great benefits of choosing Casago Arizona is our attentive, responsive local team — on call 24/7, 365 days a year. During your stay, you'll also have access to a detailed electronic house manual via the QR code displayed prominently in the home, with property operating instructions and local recommendations. Our Arizona team is also available by phone, text, or email throughout your stay.
Is there a lost and found?
Yes. If you leave something behind and we find it, we'll contact you to arrange shipping. We hold lost and found items for 30 days; after that, unclaimed items will be donated.
What amenities are at the homes?
All our homes are privately owned and furnished according to the owner's taste, so accommodations vary. However, all Casago Arizona properties adhere to a standard amenity list to ensure guest comfort:
- Quality bedspreads, sheets, blankets, and pillows
- Bath towels, washcloths, bath mats, pool towels (where applicable), and kitchen towels
- Refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, sponges
- Television(s) with basic cable or streaming service (some with upgraded options), iron and ironing board, fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
- Complimentary starter kit of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, liquid soap, dish soap, hair dryer, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash liners
- Yard area with a natural gas or propane BBQ (first tank of propane provided by Casago Arizona) where applicable, plus poolside lounge chairs and an outdoor dining area at homes with pools
- Washer and dryer with a starter kit of laundry detergent
- Many homes include additional amenities such as private pools, hot tubs, fire pits, putting greens, game rooms, pickleball courts, and outdoor kitchens
Please ask reservations about specific amenities when booking. For families traveling with young children, BabyQuip offers cribs, baby gates, strollers, and more delivered to your rental.
What about parking?
Parking varies at each home. Please refer to your individual house manual for specific parking instructions. Some designated parking spots may not accommodate large vehicles, trucks, or SUVs, so please inquire about parking accommodations prior to booking if you have an oversized vehicle.
Several Arizona cities — including Scottsdale, Sedona, and Flagstaff — limit the number of vehicles allowed at a short-term rental, typically tied to bedroom count. Exceeding the allowed number of vehicles may result in a citation from the city. Your individual house manual will specify the limits for your property.
What are check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in: 3:00 pm
- Check-out: 10:00 am
To request an early check-in or late check-out, please contact reservations at Northern Arizona: (928) 202-3209, Central Arizona: (480) 637-0347, or Southern Arizona: (520) 505-9833 before your arrival or departure for written confirmation. Approval is typically granted when the property is available, for an additional fee. Requests can only be confirmed within one week of your stay, once we know whether the property has another arrival or departure on your selected dates.
What are your hours?
We offer 24/7 live agent assistance, with an on-site property support team available 8:00 am to 7:00 pm daily, Arizona time. During those hours, we provide phone and text support at your rental property and are fully equipped to dispatch our local team for on-site assistance. From 7:00 pm to 8:00 am, services transition to off-hours support (text and phone only). Live dispatch during off-hours is reserved for emergencies. Note that Arizona observes Mountain Standard Time year-round; we do not change for Daylight Saving Time.
What should I pack?
Arizona's climate varies dramatically by region and season — packing depends on which market you're visiting.
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson (low desert): Average winter highs are in the 60s–70s with cool 40s nights; summers regularly exceed 100°F. For winter visits, pack layers including a light jacket for evenings. For summer, prioritize lightweight, breathable clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a refillable water bottle. Sun exposure is intense year-round.
Sedona (high desert): Cooler than the Valley by 10–15 degrees. Winter highs in the 50s, summer highs in the 90s with cool nights. Pack hiking shoes for the red rock trails, layers for evening temperature drops, and sun protection.
Flagstaff, Pinetop, and Show Low (high country): Cool to cold mountain climate. Winter brings snow with daytime highs in the 40s and nighttime temperatures often below freezing — pack warm layers, a winter coat, gloves, and a waterproof jacket. Summer highs are typically in the 70s–80s with cool nights. Mountain weather changes quickly, so layers and a rain shell are smart year-round.
Regardless of where you're staying, stay hydrated — Arizona's dry climate dehydrates faster than most visitors expect.

Do I need travel insurance for a vacation rental?
For peace of mind, consider protecting your trip with travel insurance through Red Sky Travel Insurance. The deadline to purchase coverage is typically 60 days prior to your trip. For details or to purchase, visit Red Sky's website and call us at 1-800-997-1457 to add coverage to your reservation.
What is the typical weather in Arizona?
Arizona is one of the most climatically diverse states in the country — a single trip can take you from 100-degree desert in Phoenix to snow in Flagstaff in under three hours. Our properties span three distinct climate zones, so the right season for your trip depends on which market you're visiting.
Low Desert — Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson (~1,100 ft): Mild winters with daytime highs in the 60s–70s, hot summers regularly above 100°F, and very low annual rainfall. Phoenix and Scottsdale average around 300 days of sunshine per year and just under 9 inches of rain annually. Peak visitor season runs October through April.
High Desert — Sedona (~4,500 ft): Moderate year-round, with four mild seasons. Winters are cool with occasional dustings of snow; summers are warm but not extreme, in the 80s–90s. Spring and fall are prime hiking seasons.
High Country — Flagstaff, Pinetop, and Show Low (~7,000+ ft): Cool mountain climate. Winters bring real snow (Flagstaff averages over 100 inches per year) and Arizona Snowbowl runs a full ski season. Summers are pleasantly mild in the 70s and 80s — making the White Mountains and Flagstaff a favorite escape for Valley residents when the desert hits triple digits.

Tucson runs slightly cooler than Phoenix year-round (highs typically 3–5°F lower in summer). Pinetop and Show Low track closely to Flagstaff, with slightly milder summer highs.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and wire transfers.
When are the pools heated?
Pool and spa heating is available for an additional daily fee at homes with this option (primarily in our Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tucson, and Sedona markets). Pricing varies by pool and spa size, and it can take up to 48 hours for the water to reach temperature. If you'd like to add heating, please contact reservations prior to arrival.
Why choose a Casago Arizona vacation rental over a hotel?
We wonder the opposite — why choose a cramped hotel room over a spacious home with a private pool, full kitchen, and the entire property to yourself? A Casago Arizona vacation rental is almost always a better value for families and groups than a comparable hotel resort, especially in markets like Scottsdale and Sedona where resort pricing has climbed sharply.
Casago Arizona properties are fully furnished and equipped, with linens, towels, kitchen essentials, televisions, and — at most of our Valley, Tucson, and Sedona homes — a private pool. Many properties offer hot tubs, fire pits, putting greens, game rooms, pickleball courts, outdoor kitchens, and pool tables.
Top 10 reasons to rent from Casago Arizona:
- More space and privacy per dollar than a resort hotel
- Splitting the cost across family or friends beats per-night hotel rates
- Everyone stays under one roof — no scattered floors or separate buildings
- Spread out in real living and dining rooms instead of crowding into a hotel room
- Step out to your private backyard, pool, and BBQ
- Cook in a fully equipped kitchen
- Stock a full-size fridge with groceries, snacks, and drinks
- The kitchen is open whenever you want it
- Pack lighter — every home has a washer and dryer
- Local Casago Arizona support, available 24/7
